Organization requests fee for garage-sale hitchhikers
To the Editor,
Richfield Civic Organization would like to thank ScripType Publishing for printing the itemized listings and map, contributing significantly to the success of the 2024 Richfield Community Garage Sale. We also extend our gratitude to Larsen Lumber and Supply Co. for their donation of wooden stakes, integral to our garage sale signage. Additionally, we want to express our thanks to individuals who paid their $15 participation fee.
RCO would like to reiterate that all profit from participation fees goes back into the community. Our organization annually presents a scholarship to a local graduating student, helps families in need by providing them with shopping gift cards for holiday foods, contributes to the Revere After Prom event, among other various community needs. RCO provided seed money for the playground near Town Hall pavilion and helped garner other organizational financial support.
RCO also sponsors the Holiday Tree Lighting, Candidates’ Night and Earth Day event.
We hope that individuals who held garage sales without paying the fee will consider making a belated $15 payment to the Richfield Civic Organization in support of our causes. Our organization pays for all the advertising to attract buyers and would appreciate your support of our community. If you find yourself having a last minute sale, please contact us to pay your fee and get a sign for your yard. Mail checks to P.O. Box 37, Richfield 44286, or Venmo@RichfieldCivic. If you would like to join our organization, please email KLS1650@roadrunner.com. ∞
