Connecting history and homes in the park

The Friends of Richfield Heritage Preserve will offer a “Connecting the History and Homes at Richfield Heritage Preserve” hike on Sunday, July 14, 2-4 p.m.

Corey Ringle, registered architect with RDL Architects and the Friends president and head of its Historic Home Stabilization Task Force, will lead the hike and will share new details about the historic homes and how they evolved over the years. The stabilization task force team learned the new information while working on Amity, Garfield, North and Kirby houses and by reviewing drawings and photos, researching time-appropriate construction methods and through selective demolition.

The Friends will share drawings, details and discoveries on this hike, which will be held rain or shine. Attendees will meet near The Lodge.

While the event is free and open to the public, attendees are asked to RSVP via Eventbrite at ConnectingHistoryandHomesRHP2024.eventbrite.com. Walk-ins, however, are welcome. Visit friendsofrhp.org for event updates. ∞
