Run to the Sun 5K

Bath Parks will host its annual “Run to the Sun 5K” on Friday, July 12, at 7 p.m. starting and ending at Bath Community Park, 1615 N. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. The event was rescheduled from June due to extreme temperatures.

Runners will start at the Chief Logan statue in the park, which represents Pluto, and run to the “sun” along the park’s Solar System Walk. Each step a participant runs run represents 2 million miles in space.

Awards will be given to the top three female and top three male finishers. Afterwards, the observatory in Bath Nature Preserve will be open for viewing if the skies are clear; telescopes will be available after 9:30 p.m.
