May 31—A male was served a criminal summons for stealing $140 worth of merchandise from a Brecksville Road business.

May 31—Police responded to a Rockside Road business for report of two customers not paying their bill and fleeing the restaurant. Police found the vehicle, and one of the males claimed ownership of a firearm within the car. He was transported to Independence jail because he had the firearm while intoxicated.

June 13—A female was arrested for prostitution at a Rockside Road hotel. The arrest was predicated on an operation targeting sex sellers and buyers in the city.

June 15—Dispatch alerted police of a call from a female stating she was being held against her will while driving in her vehicle with her boyfriend. Police found the couple at a Brecksville Road restaurant, and the female said she had not called but thought her mother may have. The boyfriend was found to have a warrant for domestic violence and was turned over to Willoughby Hills Police, through whom the warrant was issued.

June 15—During a traffic stop for a prohibited U-turn on Rockside Road, a driver was arrested for OVI. The driver claimed he was not from the area and in town for the Rolling Stones concert.

June 20—A female driver was stopped for a traffic violation on Brecksville Road and admitted to having cocaine in the vehicle. She had ingested the cocaine and smoked marijuana a few hours before the traffic stop. Her 5-year-old daughter was asleep in the backseat. The driver was cited for attempted drug abuse, drug paraphernalia, no seatbelt or restraint for the child and driving in marked lanes.

June 21—A female was arrested for stealing $105 worth of merchandise from a Brecksville Road store.

June 22—During a traffic stop on Rockside Road, the driver was cited for attempted drug abuse after a substance consistent with cocaine was found in the vehicle. Richfield police had recovered drug paraphernalia from the same driver in December 2023. The driver was also wearing an ankle monitor, which he said was a GPS device due to a protection order stemming from a domestic violence charge.
