July 28—Officers stopped a vehicle on I-77 N for expired tags and found a firearm, 29 individual clear bags of suspected marijuana and an open bottle of Hennessy liquor. The driver was charged with having weapons under disability.

July 29—A female was issued a criminal summons for theft after attempting to steal a shopping cart from a Brecksville Road business.

Aug. 5—A male stole headphones from a Brecksville Road business and fled the store after he was caught. Police found the suspect on an RTA bus with a crack pipe in his pocket. He was cited for theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Aug. 6—A female was cited for stealing $52 worth of merchandise from a Brecksville Road store.

Aug. 6—Officers responded to a Rockside Wood Boulevard hotel for report of a fight in progress between a male and female. Neither needed medical attention but the female was cited for disorderly conduct after forcefully throwing an object at the male in the hotel room.

Aug. 8—A female patron refused to pay for her meal at a Quarry Lane restaurant and then refused to leave the premises after a manager asked her to. She is charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespass and theft.

Aug. 13—Officers assisted area police departments with the location and arrest of a male who had driven a vehicle opposite of traffic on I-77 N and then fled. He was found in he brush between I-77 and Rockside Place.

Aug. 16—During a traffic stop on Rockside Road for tinted windows, the driver was found to have an active warrant through Cleveland for unlawful restraint, was the subject of an active protection order and was not a valid driver. He was also in unlawful possession of a firearm, which he said he purchased from a friend in an unknown parking lot in Cleveland.

Aug. 17—During a traffic stop on Brecksville Road, police found the driver was intoxicated, had a loaded handgun on his person and several warrants out for his arrest.

Aug. 17—Police were dispatched to a business plaza on Rockside Road for report of a fight between a male and female. Both parties provided false information about who they were, and the male was found to have a warrant with the Cleveland Police Department for obstruction of justice.

Aug. 21—Officers stopped a vehicle for failure to use a turn signal and found the driver had a suspended license. Items consistent with drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle, belonging to the passenger. Pending a test of the substances found, the passenger will be indicted for drug possession and possession of drug abuse instruments.

Aug. 23—A female was arrested for disorderly conduct at a Rockside Road hotel after being intoxicated and refusing to leave the property.

Aug. 25—A male and female were found arguing and screaming outside a Rockside Road hotel. When police approached, the male ran, engaging officers in a foot chase. Both parties said the argument was only vocal and the male was issued criminal citations for disorderly conduct and obstructing official business.

Aug. 28—Officers stopped a vehicle on Rockside Road for a traffic violation and the passenger was issued a summons for attempted drug abuse for being in possession of psilocybin mushrooms.
