Aug. 29—Police found a driver on Rockside Road was not the registered owner of the vehicle, but the owner was staying in a nearby hotel with an active warrant. Police found the vehicle owner, who was issued a criminal summons for drug abuse after illegal substances were found in his wallet. The driver had a warrant with Cuyahoga County but left the hotel before police could arrest him.

Sept. 3—A female driver was pulled over on Rockside Road for expired registration and driving without a valid license. She was issued a criminal summons for drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Sept. 3—A Rockside Woods Boulevard hotel called police after finding a male face down in the parking lot covered in blood. The man had suffered a seizure and fell outside. He was transported to the hospital and two different police departments were made aware of the warrants he had through them.

Sept. 3—A female at a Quarry Lane hotel used someone else’s debit card she found in the hotel to make purchases and extend her hotel stay. She was evicted from the hotel, and the card was returned to its owner.

Sept. 9—At a Quarry Lane hotel, a female was found outside picking up and throwing stones and not making sense when she spoke. The male she was staying with at the hotel with had several warrants and was taken to Cuyahoga County jail. The woman was transported to a hospital for further evaluation.

Sept. 13—During a traffic stop on Rockside Woods Boulevard North, the 19-year-old driver was charged with receiving stolen property after a stolen handgun was found in the vehicle. Also found were alcohol and marijuana.

Sept. 14—Police stopped a driver on I-480W for swerving between lanes and charged him with OVI. He was to be charged with possession of cocaine after it was confirmed through lab tests.

Sept. 14—A female was arrested for prostitution at a Rockside Road hotel.

Sept. 17—During a traffic stop on I-77N, the male driver admitted to having a warrant with Mentor police. He had a suspended driver’s license, and the female passenger admitted to smoking cocaine and having a crack pipe on her person. The driver was cited for driving under suspension and attempted drug abuse. The female was cited for drug abuse instruments as hypodermic needles and two firearms were found in the vehicle.

Sept. 19—A man was found asleep in his truck in the parking lot of a Brecksville Road bank. He was cited for attempted drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia in his vehicle.

Sept. 19—Officers responded to a Rockside Road restaurant for report of a male and female arguing outside. They were cited for disorderly conduct but no physical altercation took place.

Sept. 22—Police saw a car on West Creek Road with a license plate that was supposed to be on a different car. The male driver was not the registered car owner and was issued criminal summons for lying about his identity. The female car owner was told how to properly register and plate her vehicle.

Sept. 23—A male was causing a disturbance at a Brecksville Road gas station while drinking a beer. He was cited for disorderly conduct.

Sept. 24—Police were dispatched to a Brecksville Road business for theft of $87 worth of merchandise.
