Mayor’s Corner by Mayor Michael Wheeler
I hope everyone will have a very Happy Thanksgiving. If you are traveling for the holiday, please drive safely and sanely.
Police Officer Morgan Miller resigned to spend more time with her family. We wish her well and thank her for her service. Dispatcher Kalli Spisak resigned to pursue a full-time career in law enforcement; we thank her for her service. Please welcome Officer Victoria Bodnar to the position of full-time police officer, and Dylan Clarke and Sandra Norsic as part-time fire medics.
Our annual jail inspection was completed by the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation, and our jail facility is in full compliance with all essential standards. This is a very in-depth and demanding inspection that Officer Anthony Padula managed and coordinated.
Lowe’s has a recycling bin that will take mercury light bulbs. If you are going that way, please remember to take your bulbs and dispose of them correctly.
We make appointments to our boards at the first of the year. If you have an interest in serving your community, please contact my office.
