Holiday season opens with Tree Lighting on Nov. 29

“Come Home for the Holidays” and participate in Richfield’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 29. The festivities, sponsored by the Richfield Civic Organization, will begin on the southeast corner of Broadview and West Streetsboro roads at 6 p.m. Attendees will receive a miniature lantern to help illuminate the night for the singing of carols, the traditional tree lighting and the arrival of Santa.

After the arrival of Santa, revelers are invited to Masonic Hall where they can enjoy cookies, hot chocolate and punch, while catching up with friends and neighbors. Younger participants may visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

In conjunction with the tree lighting, the Meridian Sun Lodge #69 will host an open house as they wrap up their celebration of the organization’s 200th anniversary. Attendees are invited to join lodge members on the second floor of Masonic Hall to learn about the history of Meridian Sun Lodge and its ties to the community.

Come and begin celebrating the season with Richfield neighbors and friends on Nov. 29.
