Holiday ‘extravaganza’ features caroling, Lighting of the Greens
Gather with friends, family and neighbors on the Gazebo Green Friday, Nov. 29, from 4-6 p.m. for Hudson’s Home for the Holidays Extravaganza featuring the 76th Lighting of the Greens, caroling, an Ugly Christmas Sweater contest with prizes, photo opportunities, food trucks, candy canes, cookies and more.
Merchants will be encouraged to take part with specials, refreshments and drawings. Registration for the Ugly Holiday Sweater contest starts at 4 p.m., and the judging will take place between 4:30 and 5 p.m.
Caroling on the Green, led by the Hudson Community Choruses, starts at the Gazebo at 5 p.m. Homemade caroling lanterns are available at Destination Hudson for a donation to the Hudson League for Service Scholarship Fund.
The Countdown to the Lighting, led by Mayor Jeff Anzevino, happens shortly after caroling. Following the lighting, there will be photo opportunities on the Clocktower Green, and Hudson Community Foundation will be handing out cookies at 49 East Main St.
