Trustees Corner

To our residents, constituents, friends and neighbors:

We had a challenging start to the second half of the year due to unforeseen circumstances. We have faced obstacles and challenges, but we have also moved forward as a board, putting our community’s best interests first. This is what Jack and Monique promised three years ago, and Cindy last year.

As employers, public servants and friends, we have a duty to honor the wishes of our employees, both past and present. We understand that you may have questions regarding some recent departures. We also understand the optics. However, as responsible employers and friends, we have remained silent. We do this because of our integrity and commitment to serve the greater good, and not ourselves.

We ask that you remain patient. This is a novel, not a short story. We ask that you continue to trust in us as you did three years ago, and again last year. Do not listen to the misinformation from those who wish to divide our community instead of uniting it. We are working our hardest to ensure these positions are filled with the best candidates who will deliver the same integrity and commitment to our community that you all deserve.

Last month, you all received the first Hinckley Township Newsletter. This will be an ongoing piece to ensure you all have the facts of our government with a view of future plans. It is important for our residents understand what is coming next. This is how you stay involved and engaged. This is another example of our promise to increase transparency and accountability to our residents.

If you are interested in receiving an electronic newsletter more than once a year, please subscribe to the list using the QR code on the mailer or by visiting the Hinckley Township website, hinckleytwp.org. ∞
