Trustees Corner
It’s a new year and new changes are on the way to better serve our community. Town Hall will now be open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
We also welcome our new Zoning Inspector Suzanne Peterlin. Suzanne previously served in the township’s administrative office for the last 14 years, where her duties included supporting the zoning office. She immediately brings great familiarity with our zoning regulations and, as a Hinckley resident herself, she is committed to the township’s best interests.
In light of Suzanne’s new role, Allyson Pebbles was hired as an administrative assistant for the front office. We welcome them both in their new roles.
We wish to share our appreciation to the township’s service department in handling the several challenging snow weather events we’ve had so far this winter. Their efforts to keep the roads cleaned and salted meant long hours through the night just to keep up with the rate of snowfall. We also appreciate your patience through this snowy winter.
The township omnibus bill was signed by Gov. Mike DeWine on Jan. 2 and goes into effect April 2. We will be reviewing the bill to assess how our township may benefit from its provisions, including any cost savings that may be realized. As promised in our annual township newsletter sent out in October, we will be releasing a quarterly newsletter electronically beginning in April. If you would like to receive the quarterly newsletter via email, please register at hinckleytwp.org. The annual newsletter will still be mailed to all residents in October.
