I hope everyone had a Happy New Year. I am looking forward to 2025. The first order of business every year is to pass our organizational resolution. This covers duties for trustees and employees and sets pay rates and fees. 

As the trustee in charge of the road department, winter maintenance is a major concern for me. Up until Jan. 3, 2025, we had very little snow. All of that changed with about a foot of snow falling very fast.  Snow is something we haven’t seen in a couple of years. Our three-man road crew works hard to keep roads cleared. Please be careful driving around all snowplow trucks. 

We have been working on plans for several road projects and getting estimates from the county engineer. Combining our road projects with the county’s projects helps us get a better price. Completing road projects in Glencairn will be one of our main priorities this year. 

As always be careful on the roads. Lastly, may our hopes and prayers be with the people in Los Angeles.
