Bus Stop opens Feb. 21 at Spotlights Theater
In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at to a cheerful roadside diner. All roads are blocked and four or five weary travelers are going to have to hole up until morning. Written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright William Inge, Broadview Spotlights Theater presents Bus Stop as its first production of 2025.
Bus Stop was most famously made into a 1956 film starring screen legend Marilyn Monroe.
The show runs on Fridays and Saturdays from Feb. 21 through March 8 at 7:30 p.m. There will be one Sunday matinee on March 2, at 3 p.m. All performances will take place at the Broadview Heights Spotlights Theater on the Broadview Center property, 9543 Broadview Rd. The theater is located next to the police station.
Tickets are $17 for adults and $15 for seniors and students and can be purchased online at broadview-heights-spotlights.org.
As the annual coffeehouse production, the Spotlights’ 2019 Expansion is transformed into a coffeehouse-style venue with table seating on three levels. The event features a complimentary beverage bar (non-alcoholic) alongside luscious desserts for purchase during intermission (cash only).
