Road Rally (Sept. 15)
Sept. 15
Road Rally
The Bath Business Association’s Road Rally will take place on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 3-7 p.m., starting and ending at the Stony Hill Schoolhouse, 49 N. Hametown Rd.
This excursion along the highways and byways of Bath is a twist on previous road rallies. Participants will be provided with an instruction sheet with photos to be identified, interactive questions to be answered, and activities to complete, all of which will be compiled and scored for prizes.
“It was designed along the Heritage Corridors of Bath’s Scenic Byways, and it’s a way to commemorate Heritage Week in Bath, celebrated in the township the week of Sept. 15-22,” said Nancy Fay, Road Rally chair.
The day will also feature Bath Historical Society’s Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Social from 1-3 p.m. under the tent at the Stony Hill Schoolhouse. The society will provide free cake and ice cream, though donations will be accepted, to thank the community for its support.
The entry fee of $10 per car benefits the BBA scholarship fund for a high school senior living in Bath and pursuing further schooling in a business-related field.
An optional chicken dinner picnic, following the rally, will take place under the tent at the schoolhouse for $10 per person. Prizes – mostly white elephant ones – will be awarded for the most complete answer sheet.
Registration for the road rally and dinner is required by Sept. 13. Registration forms are available at bathbusinessassociation.com or at The Bake Shop in Ghent, 800 Wye Rd.
